Lincoln Electric is a global manufacturer of welding products, arc welding equipment, welding accessories, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment, and robotic welding systems that contribute to many different industries from automotive to power generation. Harris Products Group, a division of Lincoln Electric here in Mason, OH, manufactures Phos Copper Brazing Alloys, Flux and Aluminum Return Bends servicing Industrial, HVAC-R, Plumbing, and OEM Brazing customers.
What makes you proud to be in the manufacturing industry?
Manufacturing is an important part of the economy that many people may overlook, as it can provide meaningful & rewarding employment for many people all over the country sustaining our middle class. As an employee of Lincoln Electric, we know how important our work is and what it provides, helping to build a better world for all.
What career path opportunities can be pursued at your company?
We have many exciting and rewarding career paths at Lincoln Electric. For example, we have several employees in key leadership positions who started on the manufacturing floor including our VP of Finance & VP of Operations. In addition to those key leadership positions, we have had several employees move from the production floor to multiple different functions from planning to sales.
What roles are most critical to meeting your production needs?
In terms of roles that are most critical to meeting production needs, it starts with our production operators on the manufacturing floor helping to service our customers with quality on-time parts. However, we have many roles from engineering to sales that help to drive innovation and excellence within our business providing many different services and solutions to our customers.
What do you love most about the greater Cincinnati region?
The greater Cincinnati region is a great place to have or start a career in manufacturing as Ohio is number three in the nation for manufacturing GDP, and the largest sector in the state. The area has a lot of resources in terms of partnerships and collaboration with other manufacturers in the area. In addition to being a great area for manufacturing, Cincinnati is a great place to raise a family with just as many activities as you would find in a large city, but with a small town feel.
