INWED is celebrating its 8th year with a theme of ‘Engineering Heroes’ to celebrate the work that women engineers around the world. This AMIP event celebrates the amazing work of female engineers, who also crossover their expertise in manufacturing every day.

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is an awareness campaign which raises the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to women and girls in this exciting industry.

A panel of four women, at different stages of their career, will relate what influenced their academic and career choices, describe their current roles and responsibilities as well as the challenges, concerns, and opportunities they have encountered along the way. These ladies are among the brightest and bravest women in engineering, who recognize a problem, then dare to transform manufacturing workplaces, culture, and outcomes for a better world.
