As we approach the close of 2023, it’s with immense pride and gratitude that we share an update on the Good Jobs Challenge GJC) initiative’s remarkable progress since its inception in April this year. Our journey has been one of empowerment, resilience, and unwavering commitment to transforming lives through education and opportunity.

Empowering Futures Through Three Successful Bootcamps

Since April, three bootcamps have proven to be pivotal in shaping careers and changing lives. Through these efforts, we’ve witnessed the graduation of 18 individuals, equipped not only with job readiness classes but also with ToolingU Certifications.

Our comprehensive model isn’t just about training; it’s a holistic approach encompassing sector-specific recruitment and screening, career readiness training, work experience, technical education, and post-employment coaching. We believe in nurturing every aspect critical to an individual’s success, paving the way for increased wages and sustainable careers.

All bootcamp participants graduated bootcamp and have pursued full-time roles in the manufacturing sector. Their determination coupled with our program’s support has led to this incredible milestone. It’s a testament to their hard work and the effectiveness of our approach.

Grateful for Collaborative Support

Our success wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support and collaboration of numerous organizations and individuals. We extend heartfelt thanks to our industry partners:

  • Monti, Inc.

  • Kroger

  • Standard Aero

  • Pioneer Glazing

  • HiTek

  • GMI Companies

  • VEGA Americas Inc.

  • Festo Corp.

  • Huhtamaki

  • Pilot Chemical

The invaluable assistance from Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, Cincinnati Works, Amend Consulting, Larry Hodges, and BeechAcres has been instrumental. Their dedication and expertise have enriched our program, enhancing the preparedness and skills of our students.

Additionally, our collaboration with Pilot Chemical in upskilling seven employees through the Cincinnati State ICIC program is a testament to our commitment to continuous learning and growth within partnering organizations.

Looking Ahead to 2024: A Roadmap to Greater Success

As we set our sights on the coming year, we’re excited to announce our upcoming bootcamps:

  • February: Hamilton County

  • June: Hamilton & Warren Counties

  • October: Hamilton County

These sessions will continue our mission of empowering individuals for thriving careers in manufacturing. Bootcamps may be added as needed, based on number of interested participants.

Bootcamps in Warren County are being supported by LEAD Training. The organization’s commitment to preparing students for life-career success aligns perfectly with this mission. Their collaboration will allow a wider reach to students and individuals, ready to thrive in the manufacturing sector. We deeply appreciate LEAD Training’s support in our journey towards empowering individuals and transforming futures.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To all our supporters, collaborators, employers, and dedicated individuals who’ve been part of this transformative journey, your contributions have been instrumental in creating lasting change. Your belief in our initiative has empowered us to push boundaries and make a tangible impact.
