Congratulating Deer Park on Investment in Manufacturing

On Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 Deer Park Schools celebrated receiving a grant to expand their manufacturing programs. The $811,000 grant awarded by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce will allow Deer Park to invest in cutting-edge manufacturing equipment as well as teachers and trainers who will impart valuable skill-trade knowledge to their students.
AMIP Executive Director Susan Whitman spoke at the celebration. She stressed the importance of collaboration, such as the long-standing collaborative relationship of Deer Park Schools and AMIP, and congratulated the district on investing in the “makers of the future.”
Other speakers included Director of Teaching and Learning Mindy Robertson, Superintendent Jay Phillips, Derek Chancellor on behalf of the Office of Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and radio and television host Bill Cunningham.
