Employers, like Blue Ash Tool & Die (BATD) have benefitted from career-technical programs offered in our region for decades. Due to the growing concern that too many young people were not prepared to enter the labor market in the 1970s, vocational schools starting flourishing all over Ohio.
The first Great Oaks campus opened in 1971. Later, Ohio added legislation requireding school districts provide vocational education opportunities. Read more history here

Blue Ash Tool & Die (BATD) specializes in precision ground support tooling for the aviation industry and complex parts manufacturing. For over 50 years, BATD operations consist of ground support tooling for jet engines (commercial and government) along with unique parts and components manufacturing.

James Siderits has more than 30 years’ managerial experience in industrial and consumer markets directing marketing communications, emerging business development and project management of strategic business initiatives for global manufacturing companies.
James’ professional background and personal experience growing up in a family owned jobshop allow him to relate to both small business and corporate world challenges alike. Siderits is on the board of directors for non-profit and for-profit entities and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s BFA and MBA programs.
