Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership (AMIP)

The Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership (AMIP) is a collaborative effort among advanced manufacturing employers, educators and community agencies in the Greater Cincinnati region working to alleviate occupational shortages. 

This takes many forms including creating and implementing an integrated process to link current and prospective employees with educational opportunities to meet the needs for skilled talent. Learn more about the behind the scenes leadership that has engaged over 350 business, education, and community partners across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, to position AMIP for a new era of employer-led growth. 

Featured Guests:

Sean Kelley serves as the Executive Director to AMIP. Kelley oversees all aspects of the organization’s efforts to ensure regional manufacturing companies have a robust pipeline of qualified workers. He has served as the director of the Talent Pipeline Initiative since 2013 working with employers as well as education, government, and community partners across the greater Cincinnati region to prepare students for in-demand STEM careers.

Molly Fender is a Co-Lead for the Skills-based Education Pillar at AMIP and also works as the VP, Human Resources at Monti, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH. Her passions include family businesses, people management and development. She is a strong advocated for cultural inclusion to drive engagement, develop authentic relationships and inspire trust within the workforce.

Emily Larsh is a Co-Lead for the Talent Pipeline Pillar at AMIP and also serves as the Director of HR at Makino in Mason, OH. She is fascinated by the people side of HR and has served in various HR roles for nearly 15 years. Her specialties include organizational design, problem-solving, and career development.

Pete Borden is a Co-Lead for the Industry Commitment Pillar at AMIP, as well as the VP of Strategic Sales & Marketing General Tool Company in Cincinnati, OH. His expertise and more than three decades of experience in manufacturing makes him a great addition to our pillar leadership team.
